Start with the customer’s history—not the same questions.
When a customer calls about a vehicle, context matters. Caller recognition through compatible shop software helps your advisor find the existing customer record and get to the reason for the call.
Only $1.88 per business day. $49/month · $199 one-time setup · 36-month initial commitment. Daily equivalent assumes 26 operating days/month at six days/week; excludes setup. Applicable tax and shipping additional.
Before your next busy day, find out whether your phone service and software can put customer recognition to work.
$49/month + $199 setup · 36-month initial commitment One 4-line Deluxe Analog or one 4-channel Vertex VoIP. Telephone service not included.
Illustrative business scenario
A better conversation starts before the estimate.
Find the right customer record. Confirm the vehicle. Talk about the work with evidence—not assumptions.

The connection—not another system
Connect the call to the record your shop already uses.
CallerID passes incoming caller information to compatible automotive software. The software—not the device—holds customer, vehicle and repair records.
The available record lookup and information shown depend on your software version and integration. Advisors still confirm the caller, vehicle and repair order.

Calls you recognize from your day
More context for the service conversation.
Recognition supports the advisor. Diagnosis, measured evidence and customer authorization remain the shop’s responsibility.
Booking a returning vehicle
Which vehicle—and what happened last time?
A customer calls to book another visit. Where your compatible shop software supports it, use the recognized customer record to find their vehicles and service history. Confirm which vehicle they mean before discussing previous repairs or scheduling the next visit.
One phone number may relate to several drivers or vehicles. Verify identity and the vehicle before discussing private information.
An inspection follow-up
Explain the measurements. Separate now from later.
A customer returns your call about an inspection. Start from the existing record and the technician’s documented findings. Explain the actual measurements, photographs or test results, what work is recommended now and what can reasonably wait.
Caller recognition does not diagnose a vehicle. Obtain customer authorization before additional work and avoid pressure based on unverified risks.
A repair-status call
Give a useful update—not another intake interview.
A customer calls to ask when their vehicle may be ready. Recognizing the number can help your advisor find the record in compatible software, confirm the repair order and check the latest documented status with the team.
Share a completion estimate only after checking the shop’s current information. CallerID does not track repairs or promise completion times.
Illustrative scenarios, not customer testimonials or guaranteed outcomes. The information available depends on records in your compatible software and the integration’s capabilities. Always confirm the caller and relevant details.
Compatibility before commitment
Shop-software details worth checking.
Find your software in our existing list and select Analog or VoIP. We’ll review the correct device and connection for your setup.
RO WriterVerified selection-guide entry: Deluxe / serial connection. Version, service and configuration still require a check.
SmartCall, StockTrac and TireShopVerified selection-guide entries: Deluxe / Ethernet connection. Confirm each installation’s version and phone-service requirements.
NAPA TRACS and BOLT ON TECHNOLOGYListed software partners—not automatically verified direct integrations. SmartCall is a separate entry and is not NAPA TRACS.
Be specific about what works.
These guide entries are not blanket compatibility guarantees, and they do not establish Vertex support for those integrations. Have another shop system or existing integration? Search for its name or company in the software list, or request a review if it is not listed.
A modest cost. A decision worth checking.
Only $1.88 per business day.
Recognize returning callers. Spend less time searching and more time serving customers—for $49 a month, plus a $199 one-time setup.
Daily equivalent: $49 ÷ 26 average operating days per month, rounded to the nearest cent. Assumes six days/week. Setup is not included in the daily figure. Billed monthly, with a 36-month initial commitment; applicable tax and shipping additional. The ROI example and calculator separately include setup spread over 36 months: $54.53 average monthly cost.
14 orders / month
One restaurant illustration—not a forecast. At $14.50 per order and a 30% contribution margin after variable costs, 14 additional completed orders in a month generate $60.90 in contribution. Against $54.53 average monthly cost, that leaves $6.37.
The mathematical minimum is 13; 14 adds one order of buffer. This covers one average month, not the whole commitment. Existing sales and saved time alone do not create this contribution.
The same straightforward subscription
No separate industry plan. Just the right setup.
One subscription for caller recognition through compatible software. The appropriate device depends on your phone service and integration—not your industry label.
Free telephone technical support and covered replacement apply only while active. Power-surge damage is excluded. No on-site service or free replacement shipping is promised. Equipment remains subscription equipment.

Before you decide
The details matter.
Straight answers for a practical business decision.
Does a listed software partner mean my shop is already compatible?
No. NAPA TRACS and BOLT ON TECHNOLOGY are listed software partners, not automatically verified direct integrations. RO Writer, SmartCall, StockTrac and TireShop have the specific Deluxe connection entries described above. Your actual version, phone service and configuration still need confirmation.
Will CallerID diagnose repairs or authorize extra work?
No. CallerID supports recognition through compatible software. Diagnosis requires the technician’s inspection and evidence. Your shop must explain recommendations and obtain appropriate customer authorization before additional work.
Why does the calculator start at a $175 ticket?
It is an editable illustration, not an automotive industry average or forecast. Replace it with your own average ticket, contribution margin after variable costs, and assumed additional or retained completed transactions per month. The transaction assumption starts at zero.
What exactly is included for $49/month?
One 4-line Deluxe Analog OR one 4-channel Vertex VoIP device, telephone technical support and covered replacement while the subscription is active. There is a $199 one-time setup charge and a 36-month initial commitment. These are alternative devices, not two devices. Telephone service is not included. Other capacities and existing integrations can be discussed separately.
Will CallerID work with my software and phone service?
Caller recognition depends on compatible POS or business software, its version, the supported device connection and your telephone service configuration. Available customer details depend on what your software stores and what its integration supports. Compatibility must be checked before enrollment; no universal software, protocol, firmware or provider compatibility is promised. Deluxe can be configured for Basic behavior, subject to the specific integration and configuration being confirmed.
What support and replacement coverage is included?
Telephone technical support and covered device replacement apply only while the subscription remains active. No on-site service is included. Power-surge and lightning damage, misuse, liquid damage and unauthorized modification are excluded. Replacement shipping is not represented as free; shipping arrangements and exact coverage wording require confirmation.
How do renewal, cancellation and equipment returns work?
Request a quotation to receive the complete subscription agreement, including equipment ownership, renewal, cancellation, notice and return requirements, before deciding. This page does not enroll you, accept payment or authorize recurring charges.
How is the $1.88 business-day price calculated?
The recurring $49 monthly subscription is divided by an average of 26 operating days per month: six days per week × 52 weeks ÷ 12 months. That is $1.88 per business day, rounded to the nearest cent. This is a comparison, not daily billing. The $199 one-time setup is separate and is not included in the $1.88 figure. The initial commitment is 36 months. Applicable tax and shipping are additional. The ROI calculator includes setup spread over the initial term when calculating average monthly cost.
Can a distributor or POS partner discuss a different requirement?
Yes. Select Distributor / POS partner in the compatibility inquiry, then request a quotation. Existing partner arrangements remain private; this page does not establish or change partner commercial terms.
