Privacy Policy

Effective 14SEP26. Zeus PhonStuff, Inc dba CallerID.com (“CallerID.com,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with our website, accounts, orders, caller-identification products, cloud services, integrations, support, and communications.

This is a general policy for CallerID.com products and services. A product, order, subscription, or integration may include additional notices that apply to the particular service. The separate SMS Terms & Conditions govern our SMS notification program.

1. Company and scope

CallerID.com provides caller-identification hardware, software, cloud lookup services, and related support and integration services. We are based in Georgia, USA. Depending on the service and applicable law, we may act as a business or controller for information we collect directly, or as a service provider or processor for a business customer that directs our handling of information.

2. Information we may handle

Information you provide

  • Name, business name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping details, and account credentials
  • Order, subscription, return, warranty, and transaction information
  • Support requests, correspondence, feedback, and information you choose to provide in a form or chat
  • Mobile number and opt-in information when you request SMS notifications
  • Payment and billing information needed to complete a transaction; payment credentials may be handled directly by the payment provider

Information collected when you use the site or services

  • IP address, browser and device information, request times, referring pages, pages or products viewed, and standard security or server-log information
  • Session, language, timezone, and other functional cookie or preference information
  • Account, order, support, and service activity associated with your use of CallerID.com

Caller-identification products and customer integrations

Hardware and software behavior depends on the product and the configuration selected by the customer. CallerID.com does not represent that every hardware product uploads caller data merely because it is used. Where a customer enables a cloud or third-party integration, we may receive the information needed to provide that feature. The RingCentral section below describes that integration specifically.

RingCentral Caller ID Integration Data

CallerID.com offers an integration with the RingCentral communications platform for real-time caller identification. When a subscriber configures that integration, data may include:

  • Inbound caller phone numbers delivered through RingCentral APIs for a caller-ID lookup and display
  • Caller names associated with a number and returned to the subscriber’s configured experience
  • Call-event metadata, such as a timestamp, matched name, number, or disposition, if the subscriber enables a history or audit feature
  • RingCentral account identifiers, extension information, and other routing or authentication data required for the integration

This integration description does not mean that all CallerID.com hardware sends caller information to us, and it is not a representation that CallerID.com records or stores call audio. The integration concerns caller-identification and call-event data as configured by the subscriber.

Where we process this information for a business subscriber, we do so on the subscriber’s instructions and the subscriber is responsible for its lawful use of caller-identification and call-history data. RingCentral’s own privacy policy and terms also apply to RingCentral’s processing.

3. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • Create and administer accounts; process orders, payments, shipping, returns, subscriptions, and warranty requests
  • Provide products, caller-ID lookups, integrations, support, security, fraud prevention, and service communications
  • Send transactional email or SMS that you request or that is needed for an order or service
  • Operate and improve our website, products, and caller-ID data quality using information in a manner permitted by the applicable customer relationship and law
  • Respond to questions, including through the website AI support widget described below
  • Meet legal, accounting, regulatory, dispute-resolution, and safety requirements

Depending on the jurisdiction and the relationship, our legal bases may include contract performance, legitimate interests such as security and service operation, legal obligations, and consent where consent is required.

4. Website AI support chat

Our website currently includes an AI support widget configured as a CallerID.com Support agent using OpenAI’s GPT-4o Mini service. If you use that widget, the text you submit, the conversation, relevant page or support context, and technical information needed to operate the widget may be sent to the configured AI provider to generate a response. Do not submit passwords, payment credentials, government identifiers, or other information you do not want processed by an AI service.

AI responses can be incomplete or inaccurate and are not a substitute for a confirmed support or legal response. If a conversation is escalated, information may also be handled by CallerID.com support. Provider processing is governed by the provider’s terms, privacy notice, and any applicable service agreement, including any retention or use described there; the service and account settings we use may change.

5. Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies

Our website may use functional cookies and similar technologies for sessions, security, language or timezone preferences, shopping-cart and account functions, and service operation. The current Odoo website configuration also includes Google Analytics measurement technology, which may collect usage, device, and page-interaction information under Google’s policies. We may change the tools used on a particular site or service.

Cookie controls can depend on the site, browser, device, and applicable law. You can adjust browser settings, although disabling functional cookies may affect site features. Analytics providers process information under their own notices and any applicable service agreements; the controls available for a specific site or device determine how those technologies operate.

6. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, as directed by a customer, or as permitted or required by law. Categories may include:

  • Business and technology providers: Odoo hosts and supports website, account, order, support, and transaction workflows; TouchSuite may process payment transactions when its payment method is enabled; shipping, cloud, communications, SMS, analytics, AI, and security providers may process information needed for their services.
  • Customer-selected integrations: RingCentral and other services receive information needed to provide an integration configured by the customer.
  • Legal, safety, and business transfers: We may disclose information to comply with law or legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or support a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

We do not share mobile opt-in data or consent to receive text messages with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent to receive text messages will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Third-party providers process information under their own notices and applicable arrangements with us or our customers.

7. International transfers

CallerID.com is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules. Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, we use a legally recognized mechanism appropriate to the transfer and circumstance.

8. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, the customer relationship, security, accounting, legal obligations, dispute handling, and enforcement of rights. Retention varies by data type, product configuration, customer instructions, and applicable law; we do not state a single universal retention period in this policy. We may retain information longer where law requires or permits it, and deletion requests are subject to those limits.

For RingCentral integrations, any call history or related records depend on the subscriber’s enabled features and instructions. Subscribers or individuals with a lawful request may contact privacy@callerid.com. Where the subscriber controls the data, we may direct the requester to that subscriber or assist as required by the applicable arrangement or law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information and service, such as encryption in transit, access controls, and operational safeguards. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, uninterrupted availability, or that unauthorized access will never occur.

10. Rights and choices

Depending on where you live, the data involved, our role, and applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; or to opt out of certain communications or legally defined sale or sharing. These rights are not universal and may be limited by law, a customer’s controller instructions, legal retention, identity verification, security, or other exceptions.

Where applicable to you, European and UK data-protection law may provide rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing and to complain to a supervisory authority. Where applicable to you, California law may provide rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and receive equal treatment. We do not discriminate against people for exercising rights that apply to them.

To make a request, email privacy@callerid.com with enough information for us to understand the request. We may ask for information to verify identity and authority, and we will respond as required by applicable law. Use an email unsubscribe control for optional email communications. Replying STOP ends the CallerID.com SMS notification program for that number; a permitted confirmation message may still be sent to process the opt-out. STOP does not stop separately required transactional emails or non-SMS processing needed to provide a service.

11. SMS notifications

CallerID.com Internal Staff Scheduling Alerts

Our internal operational SMS program sends authorized recipients relevant scheduling or business alerts, up to one message per day when relevant information exists. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out, reply STOP to any message. This ends the program texts for that number; a permitted confirmation message may still be sent to process the opt-out. For help, reply HELP or contact info@callerid.com. See the SMS Terms & Conditions for consent, program, and keyword details.

CallerID.com does not sell or share mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent to receive text messages will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

12. Third-party links and services

Our website, products, and communications may link to or integrate with third-party services, including Odoo, TouchSuite, RingCentral, OpenAI, Google Analytics, shipping carriers, and SMS providers. Their availability, security, data practices, terms, and content are governed by their own policies. This policy does not make promises on a provider’s behalf.

13. Children’s privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, data practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and may provide additional notice for material changes. The revised policy applies from its effective date, subject to applicable law.
