Deluxe Installation Guide (Ethernet & Serial)

For Whozz Calling Deluxe 2, 4, and 8 units

Key Difference from Basic Units

Deluxe units capture both inbound AND outbound call data, including call duration. This requires in-line (series) wiring for full functionality.

Connection Methods

Parallel Connection (Inbound CID Only)

Use Line Duplicators to branch phone lines. Only INPUT ports used. Unit can be removed without affecting phones. Captures inbound Caller ID only.

Series Connection (Full Functionality - Recommended for Deluxe)

Phone lines pass THROUGH the unit. Required for:

  • Outbound dialed digit capture
  • Call duration tracking
  • Loop current detection mode
  • First ring suppression
  • Call blocking feature
