Network and Firewall Configuration

Required Ports

• UDP 3520 — Vertex data output (default)
• UDP 3521 — Vertex Configuration Tool
• UDP 5060 — SIP monitoring (standard SIP)
• TCP 3520 — POS Ethernet units (default)

Network Requirements

• CallerID device and POS must be on the same subnet (unless routing configured)
• Ensure firewall allows traffic between device and POS on the ports above
• Disable Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) on switch ports connected to CallerID devices

Disabling EEE

• Cisco switches: no power efficient-ethernet auto on the interface
• Other managed switches: Look for "Green Ethernet" or "EEE" in port settings
• Unmanaged switches: Replace with one that doesn't enable EEE by default
