Whozz Calling Basic/Deluxe Quick-Start Guide

Models

  • Basic — Serial output only (RS-232)
  • Deluxe — Serial + Ethernet output, expanded features
  • Available in 2, 4, or 8 line models

Connections

  • LINE IN — From wall jack (phone lines to monitor)
  • LINE OUT — To phones (pass-through)
  • Serial (DB9) — To computer COM port
  • Ethernet (Deluxe only) — To network

Setup Steps

  1. Connect phone lines: wall jack → LINE IN, LINE OUT → phones
  2. Connect serial cable to computer COM port (or Ethernet for Deluxe)
  3. Power on and verify Power LED
  4. Configure software: COM port at 9600-8-N-1, or TCP to device IP:3520
  5. Test with a cell phone call
