Whozz Calling POS Quick-Start Guide

What's in the Box

  • Whozz Calling POS unit (2, 4, or 8 line)
  • 9V DC power adapter
  • Phone cable(s) (RJ11)
  • Serial cable (DB9) or Ethernet cable
  • Quick-start insert

Connections

  • LINE IN — Connect from wall jack (incoming phone lines)
  • LINE OUT — Connect to phones (pass-through)
  • Serial/Ethernet — Connect to POS computer
  • Power — 9V DC barrel jack

LED Indicators

  • Power — Solid green = unit powered
  • Line LEDs off — Line idle/on-hook
  • Line LEDs blinking green — Ringing, incoming call detected
  • Line LEDs solid green — Off-hook, active call
  • Line LEDs red flash — Caller ID data received

Serial Configuration

Baud: 9600, Data: 8, Parity: None, Stop: 1, Flow: None (9600-8-N-1)

Setup Steps

  1. Connect phone lines to LINE IN ports
  2. Connect phones to LINE OUT ports (pass-through)
  3. Connect serial/Ethernet cable to POS
  4. Power on and verify green Power LED
  5. Configure POS with correct COM port or IP address
  6. Place a test call from a cell phone
